Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) & Gap Training

RPL is charged at a minimum $100 per unit of competency

Gap Training is charged at a minimum $250 per unit of competency.

N.B. Additional charges may be applicable if the assessor is required to travel

 

 

 

User Choice QLD – Apprenticeship & Traineeships

This program is an initiative of the Department of Education and Training QLD (DET).

Most apprenticeships in QLD are funded under the User Choice program, this funding is priority

based. To be eligible you must be signed into an apprenticeship that is registered with DET, have training provided by a RTO that has an agreement with the DET (OCT has a current contract).

What fees are applicable?

Co-Contribution Fee – This fee is charged at $1.60 per nominal hour as set out by DET. This fee is payable as you go and is not charged upfront, unlike some of our competitors.

Partial exemption Co-Contribution Fee – is applicable to a student who holds a Pension or HealthCare Card or participates in the course as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. The fee charges are 40% of the $1.60 per nominal hour.

Certificate 3 Guarantee

The Certificate 3 Guarantee supports eligible individuals to complete their first post-school certificate III qualification and increase their skills to move into employment, re-enter the workforce or advance their career. This program is an initiative of the Department of Education and Training QLD (DET).

Co-Contribution Fee – This fee is charged at $15 per unit of competency. This fee is payable prior to starting the course or at time of enrolment.

Partial exemption Co-Contribution Fee – is applicable to a student who holds a Pension or HealthCare Card or participates in the course as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. The fee charged is $10 per unit of competency. There are several other instances where you may be able to claim a partial or full exemption, these are listed in the below links.
